© SACS (Midlands) Limited 2011 A Little History... SACS (Midlands) Limited was founded by Gill Williams initially trading as Secretarial & Computer Services. With many years of traditional business administration and book keeping experience behind her, Gill capitalised on several years working for a specialist computer consultancy. This gave her considerable knowledge of Sage products and experience of supporting users in a variety of situations. Gill's relationship with Sage was further enhanced when the company was appointed as a specialist support centre for Sage products. The company grew from providing and supporting Sage into a supplier of complete networks with all hardware and software. This expanded further to provide development and communications to make SACS (Midlands) limited a complete solution provider to the SME sector. The company was incorporated in 1999 and the name changed to SACS (Midlands) Limited. In 2001 the company has acquired its own premises, a 110-year-old mill at Wollaston, near Stourbridge, having been tenants in the same building for the previous four years. This allowed the company to establish more suitable facilities to meet the needs of customer training, support and IT engineering, as well as providing an improved working environment for staff. What We Do... Over the years the company has been established, we have moved from a sales oriented company to a support based one. This means our prime objective is making and keeping information and communication systems working for our customers. We specialise in system management and integration, linking physical locations and disparate systems to create a solid foundation for a business to work from using the latest technologies. Recent technology developments have led to a move to more flexible working environments, home working and improved communications. The technologies used to achieve this include ADSL internet access, the establishment of VPN's over the internet to connect offices and software technologies like Rmote Desktop Services and Virtualisation to allow staff access to corporate systems from remote and disparate locations. . “Our offices are based in a 110 year old former cornmill in the high street”  System Administration, Consultancy and Support
